Take guests scrambling

Somebody is staying at your place for a few days, you’re playing board games, chatting for long times and cooking together, but you still want to do something special. Going for a scramble is perhaps your best option.

Scrambling is the activity of going up a steep terrain without the use of technical equipment. Scrambles typically lie in the in-between of hiking and climbing and are abundant in mountainous regions. Those can vary significantly in difficulty and extension, making it easy to find one suitable for anyone. I believe scramblings to be one of the bests activities to take guests to as normally those allow one to ascend to a high(ish) panoramic view of the region, it is also good sport without being exigent enough to prevent talking. It is also great as you get to spend time outside, surrounded by nature and spending time with the guest.

Also, most people aren’t used to use their hands when hiking up a mountain, and doing so leaves one with a feeling of achievement that is easily worth the climb. To go down, most times there are medium hikes that allow you to walk or even trail run.
